Our Owner

Nóel Gordon De Sousa is the owner of Rebel Bookkeeping, L.L.C.

Nóel has over 10 years of experience in corporate finance and public accounting, with specialized expertise in federal tax income strategies, compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, and online bookkeeping practices for small businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Nóel’s track record of success as a public accountant and finance team leader includes managing multiple multi-million-dollar budgets, ensuring all staff compliance with complex regulatory requirements, and facilitating cross-functional collaborations and cost-cutting initiatives that have helped turn financial growth into long-term sustainability at several large domestic corporations.

In his most recent role as a Chief financial officer, Nóel managed a $15M budget, ensuring efficient payroll and payables processing each month, accurate quarterly financial reporting each quarter, and strict adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal income tax laws. Nóel was also responsible for a team of three staff accountants, and successfully led the organization through two independent audits of its cash flows and net assets. As CFO, Nóel worked closely with the staff and Board of Directors to implement over 20 tax-compliant financial policies and accounting procedures that would later be key to the organization’s audit-readiness.

Nóel holds a double master’s degree in business administration and public policy from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis/St. Paul, where he studied public and nonprofit accounting. Nóel obtained in Bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
